I am looking for a mount for either a ranch style fence or even a chain link fence? I can’t seem to find out I seen corner mounts I went on eBay and bought a mount but it’s big and bulky. I tried to buy another mount from Wyze the one that came with the solar cam pro..but they don’t sell it so eBay had a black one that seems to
Be tamper proof unless you unscrew the mount.
Wyze won’t sell you anything for the solar cam pan right now due to the recall, and if you reset it or try to set it up fresh, it will lock you out.
You’ll need to look around amazon, etsy, etc and see what is out there.
What is that? If you mean Battery Cam Pro, then I believe that uses a completely different kind of mount. Solar Cam Pan’s included mount is a clip-in bracket that can be screwed at the back (for mounting to a fence, wall, or post) or the top (for soffit or similar underhang mounting) and is intended for easy insertion/removal of the Cam. The one related topic that comes to mind for any kind of third-party mount for this is Wyze Solar cam pan survives 30 ft. fall but, and an Etsy product was linked in that topic, but it appears to be available no longer. Although it was described as “anti-theft” and was somewhat bulky (IIRC), it was also created with polymer filament and additive manufacturing, so I don’t know how secure that would be.
Why not just use the regular mount and then throw a strip of hanger strap/plumber tape over the top portion of the Cam and screw that to the fence in order to secure it in place? That part of the Cam is supposed to be immobile during normal operation anyway, and you can get the strap in different materials/colors and/or paint to taste. It wouldn’t be super pretty, but it would be screwed in and not bulky.
