2.97 volts is low. I have been tracking this for months and posted my results. I record the old battery and new battery voltage all the time. When it gets close to 3 volts the sensors start failing. My new batteries are close to 3.35 volts.
I’m facing the same issue here. I can receive the sensor notification, but none of the cameras (2 cameras selected) records the event. I have CamPlus on both cameras.
Same problem as well. No entry sensor videos since 12/31/22.
I just changed the battery on anothe motion sensor that was not recording. Old battery 3.03 volts. New battery 3.34 volts. Back to normal witout doing anything else.
Did the battery fall out when you opened it? That might indicate a contact problem which is very common in winter when the sensor is used outdoors. Outdoors also lowers the voltage below whatever you read.
I would expect the 3V battery to power the sensor at or just below 3V. Unless there is a contact or cold issue, in which case it isn’t 3V to the sensor.
The battery did not fall out, and temperature was not a problem. I had read somewhere that the battery should last until 84 percent which would be 2.84 volts. Never happens.
I should clarify I am experiencing this issue with the entry sensors, not motion sensors. I obviously missed that detail in the thread title. Sorry, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. I find it interesting that NONE of my entry sensors will trigger an event video from a camera on the sensor “page.” . I get a notification that the entry sensor has been tripped, but no accompanying video. This is happening on two different sensors, both showing normal battery and they both began exhibiting this behavior on 1/1/23. The event videos DO show up under events listed as smart video alerts, but I no longer get the time stamp at the bottom of the screen when on the sensor is activated. The alert does say Check the event video,… but I have to go to events to do that. Previously, the link in the alert allowed me to see the video.
Wyze says they do have few issues on HMS sensors, and are working to fix. They would like us to submit more logs of what we are seeing. So –
- Trip your problem sensors. Don’t care what kind of sensor it is that is having an issue.
- When motion or whatever concludes, get a log from your sensor (Sensor settings > Wyze Support > Submit a Log).
- Post the log number here, paired with a description of what problem is that you are seeing from that sensor.
Like this:
888405 - No history at bottom of V1 motion sensor page, or on calendar. Only 1 out of 2 sensor videos captured (the first camera selected).
888420 - Delay of history at bottom of V1 motion sensor page, and to calendar. This seems to happen on all Hub-connected sensors only (V1 or V2). The times are also a couple minutes off. Bridge-connected sensors update immediately, and have accurate times. Only 1 out of 2 sensor videos captured (the first camera selected).
Thanks for your help!
889019- Since 1/1/23 my entry sensor no longer triggers a sensor video that can be accessed at the bottom of the sensor screen. I do get a notification the sensor is opened and then closed, but no longer see the event listed as before. The camera that is supposed to record the sensor video does record an event, but I have to look for it using the playback option. CamPlus is in use.
Thanks for reporting. We just fix another issue on sensor event side. Please double check to see if the issue still exists.
She’s working perfectly now, thanks!!
Mine is now working too! Great news. Thanks.
Working here also. Thanks.
Mine is also working. Thanks
My (four) v1 motion sensors are working again for the first time in 14 days.
Working perfectly again for me.
Thank you!
Mine are also working now. Thanks!!
Mine isn’t working. show Clear on App but nothing records. Needs rest often as shows not connected.
