Just purchased an outdoor cam and have five v3 cams. Will motion be detected outside of the pir detection area or do you have to use pir detection area in conjunction with the detection zone?
The camera only actives based on motion in the PIR Area. After that, it will recognize the Detection Zone. That only gets you extended clips if you subscribe to Cam Plus or use the battery consuming scheduled motion recording.
