The motion date in IOS text notification does not match motion date by cam v3.
Is there a setting that I missed? Time Sync made did not fix the problem!
Rebooting iphone and Wyze app does not fix the problem.
Cam v3 firware up to date!
Wyze app is up to date!
Internet connection solid!
Iphone battery charged!
Iphone firmware up to date!
Thank you,
Ken
I believe this is an App or Server bug that has previously been reported to Wyze.
When users travel out of the usual time zone, when we return to our camera location, the timestamp on our notifications still follow the time zone we traveled to.
This affects both iOS and Android. Deleting cache, reinstalling app, and syncing time do not seem to help the issue. Please see below threads for more info:

HELP
My notification times are different than the correct times shown in my event log. Cameras have all been synced and event log times are perfect. However, when I receive notification banners, times in notifications are not correct.
Being the event logged time is correct, I believe this is a problem in the WYZE app as my phone is synced properly to the event log.
How to I get the notifications to show the correct time?
When I get a notification on my iphone and ipad, It’s three hours behind the actual event time. The timestamp is correct when viewing the event in the app.
The notification happens at the actual time, but the time shown on the notification is 3 hours behind. For example: At 11am, I get a notification that a person was detected at 8am, but the actual time is 11am.
I’ve used the “Sync time” feature and also deleted and reinstalled the app.
[image] I recently traveled to a place that had a 3 hour time difference and now that I am home all the iOS notifications show an event but with the time of -3 of my current time. The camera time is up to date (and correct). I have tried “sync time” on all cameras and rebooted them multiple times. What am I missing? An example of the problem is a clip is captured at 8am est and the notification comes at 8am but says 5am (but the clip shows the right time in the app).
Have you tried this work-around? I saw it mentioned on another thread.
Manually set your phone’s time zone to another one.
Wait 10 minutes.
Manually set your phone’s time zone back to your current time zone.
Unset the manual time zone override.

None of the fixes worked. Disappointed!
Is your issue that the time is different in the Push Notification, that the time on the cam is different than the actual time, or that the calendar date is incorrect somewhere?
You mention that your App and Firmware are up to date, but that may mean several possibilities. Can you list the actual version numbers?

That is too bad. Did you travel out of your camera’s time zone recently?
The time reported when a motion event occurred via text notification <> the actual time the event occurred. It’s off by 2 hours or more!
All software and firmware is up to date! None of the recommended fixes work!

Are you in the same time zone as your cameras? Did the time on notifications change when you manually set your phone time zone to something else?
The time on my notifications were off by 12 hours after I traveled out of the country. What I did to fix it was:
On my iPhone: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically (uncheck checkbox)
Set my time zone to London
Wait 10 minutes
Set my time zone to EDT (my current and camera time zone)
Wait 10 minutes
On my iPhone: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically (check checkbox)
After step 4 my notifications were already showing the correct time. Step 6 was just to set my iPhone’s time zone to be automatic again.
Hope this helps.
Yes, same time zone. Your fix procedure did not work. This appears to be a CAM v3 or Wyze app bug, as my other eight non Wyze 1080p HD cameras don’t have this problem.

I see. In this case your problem seems different from mine. I had this happen to all notifications across all cameras.
It’s weird that one camera would send notifications with a different time than others on the same account.
I suppose you can try resetting this one camera and see if it helps…
Perhaps you can also report this to Support and see what they say?
