Oh, those damn cobwebs. About every month or so I get one across one of my cameras. I got out to clean it off and I can’t see it so I wave a brush around the entire area looking like an idiot with the hopes that I get it.

I got my 2 round, of that, this new year !
Last year with my Basement Cam V3 Blk & this year with my Outdoor Cam V2.
Where’s my extended duster ? 
Although lightening in my area, is less frequent. Than for others.

Voted for this - would vote for this every day if I could. It’s a real problems when wind is blowing the leaves around in trees, or when the sun vasts shadows on the ground that are then picked up as motion. It is even more of a problem with Tracking turned on as as the camera is constantly sweeping the trees with movement - have to turn off Tracking.

Yes I would also like to see an option for flags. It’s not a person or a vehicle every time the flag waves in front of my camera. Also when the app will occasionally ask if the AI detection was correct that there is an option for other and a text field to enter what the object really was and not one of the preselected choices.
Can we Ignore Flags?
Can we som AI learning that would ignore flags? I have cameras that just won’t stop looking at my flag. Garden flags too. I know there are ignore zones, but not with Pan Scan.
Here is it 2026 and the issues from the original post still aren’t fixed. So, how is this considered in progress? Will it be fixed in another year, another decade?
It should probably be changed from “in progress” status. The original request was submitted in 2018. At that time there wasn’t an available alternative such as person, pet, or vehicle detection. Wyze worked those and even implemented a free solution for person detection using xnor AI locally on the camera. But then Apple bought xnor and banned Wyze from using it anymore, so they developed their own solution, but it was too resource intensive to run locally on the camera, so it became Cam Plus and Cam Plus Lite. Both of those filter out light, wind, etc. This wishlist request was considered granted and complete by offering options other than any motion. They also offered some cameras to again have free local AI detections on the camera without a subscription (V3Pro and Floodlight Pro, for example). There were now other options besides motion.
Some people felt that this meet their needs but others felt it didn’t meet their needs and wanted this opened back up for other solutions. I think when it was brought back, it just returned to a status of in-progress. But I am guessing there is no intent to change older camera models to completely change their existing detection framework to something new which may cause ongoing bugs and maintenance to work through. They might implement new things on new cameras, but I suspect that from their point of view, what they were willing to do to meet the needs of the majority is already implemented: people can pay for more advanced detections through either the subscription or the higher end camera models (V3Pro/FLPro) that can support local AI models on them, or they can use custom 3rd party solutions for free such as running the cameras through RTSP (possibly using a converter bridge to do this) through frigate for any remaining niche edge cases or free options. But I’m not speaking for Wyze, just explaining the history of this request, how they made efforts to meet the demand, felt it was completed and marked it granted already, but others wanted other solutions so they returned it so people could continue to debate what other things they’d prefer… But it looks to me like Wyze felt they already met the primary request by providing different solutions, including some without a subscription necessary.
Personally, I would prefer a local AI on every camera model. One of my biggest disappointments with Wyze is that they actually added a local edge AI model on the V4 camera, but locked it behind a paywall. It doesn’t cost them anything more to allow people to use it for free on the V4, but they won’t enable it unless someone pays for Cam Plus. I think that’s terrible. Their rationale is that the local models still require ongoing maintenance and refinement over time which has ongoing costs. I just point out that their competitors are doing just fine offering it free And it’s becoming industry standard. I don’t like that position and I think they’ll be forced to change it to survive. But for now, these are the options. 
I think they should add a tag called “Partially Granted” To indicate that they made efforts to ward the request and have fulfilled it in some ways, but that they may not have intent of fulfilling it in every possible interpretation for every niche case that someone could want related to it or there will never be any wishlist ever marked granted because there will always be exceptions to someone wanting something slightly different than the solution they provided.
But again, you above is just my interpretation of the history of how this wish list went. It looks to me like they consider that they granted the wish, but some people want them to do something different which may or may not happen now that they gave alternatives to motion.
I’m getting so tired of subscription models, they rarely live up to what they claim to give consumer and always drain our wallets.
