Little known fact, racoons like to wash their food.

He came back about 2 hours later and fished the bone out of the bottom of the container. Maybe softening it up.

The look on his face was " I’ve hit the jackpot"

I can only imagine what was being said on Racoon Radio.

Cafe @Antonius is serving a curated chef special. Lightly spiced chicken bones this evening.

I doubt water softens bones, muriatic acid OTOH

There was a tasty looking grub running from bottom middle to bottom right toward the beginning. Lucky thing the :raccoon: was distracted.

Good eyes!

Must think he is a crocodile.

The possum likes the grubs.
This is the finish of the bone chewing when he came back later on.

Water soaking to bring out the 11 herbs and spices.

Yeah, I just had to wash it out and add new clean water after the :raccoon: decided to make paw flavored chicken bone soup.

You didn’t just add it to the low-class diner’s menu? I wonder what the :person_in_tuxedo: :cat: manager will say at the next inspection.

The :chicken: was on the Weeds & Water menu but not the paw flavored chicken bone soup. The lazy manager MFP is on vacation again.

Topic title is suggestive (to anyone with a fertile mind.)

Scarlett Johansson deserves an apology.

Who wants a grub when there is chicken on the menu

They have little sensors like in their feet and when wet they can feel things wirh very high detail and it helps them to swallow when wet. They are not cleaning the food. Thats a myth.

I watched a nature show about racoons once and it said racoons wash their food whenever possible. It’s hilarious to think but actually true. They’re incredible animals with an abundance of intelligence.

…and opposable thumbs to boot. I won’t be surprised if they replace humans after an apocalypse :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
