Mark Events In SD Card Playback

No changes at this point. Thanks for checking in!

Is there a way to mark motion events on the time line in a different color? Maybe a setting I do not know about or the capability does not exist, but it would help me when reviewing past events.

I haven’t explored the files on the SD card/cloud yet, but I would love to see a way to tag/mark specific Events on the app, so that I could specify important ones for quick reference, sort of the way I can heart my favorite photos on iPhone and find them in my Favorites folder. I delete Events I don’t need when I have time to review them, but would like to mark some for quick reference if there’s important activity on them, rather than having to go back through every one I’ve viewed, or trying to remember the date/time.

If you hit the arrow up you can pull up from the bottom of your iPhone and send it to someone or save it if you want to have many different options. If you hit the down arrow it just saves it so it doesn’t get deleted.

Hope that helps you in someway

Thanks, I have sent them before, but sometimes the recipient can hear sound, and sometimes not. It seems to depend upon where/how it’s sent. If I save one, where is it saved? Somewhere within the app or somewhere on my iPhone? I’d like to be able to scroll through them on the Events tab and easily see which have been selected to be retained.

They are saved in the events tab as far as I am aware

Thanks, I’ll try to spend some time exploring it this weekend.

When viewing the playback from the SD card, it would be extremely helpful to flag and maybe even snap to events. This is a very common feature in most NVR servers and even other IP cameras. Combined with the 1x play speed, it’s extremely time consuming to find the multiple 3 second events that occur throughout the day. Naturally the event recordings that get uploaded are extremely helpful, but don’t show everything.

All, is it possible to mark movement or events on the green time line? Since your camera has a cooldown period, is it possible to mark movement with a different color line at anytime on the green time line under the view playback section?

New to Wyze and LOVE the utility:cost ratio. Cool company. I would also love to see this feature. In my mind, it is a vital necessity to fully utilize these cams for what most ppl get them for. Something simple like this image would be great…

Well… it’s March 29, 2020, this feature has been asked by everyone for a year already… no joy… everyone is bored at home, I’m bored at home! If you let me I can help you write the software for the events feature on playback for free!!
It can’t be THAT hard… did the good programmer leave!!!
Come on! Even the lesser cameras that can’t hold a candle to our Wyze have this freaking feature! It’s a no brainer!!! Let’s do this!!!
Oh!! And the audio sync needs a real looking into also…

All the events are in the local app database. They don’t need to be recorded on the SD card. Just scan the app database on the phone and highlight the timeline…

Yep been asking since last year!! I said I would have to give the camera a 1 or 2 star rating and they were not happy with that and said this not a camera for security. What do they think ppl are buying them for?!

Other webcam apps have the capability of marking the timeline when events happen. This is a really nice feature when scrolling through playback Wyze needs to seriously consider this software modification to their app. How do we get this request submitted for consideration? Thanks

why are there no markers on the timeline for the recorded events?
that would be extremely useful to know when the actions happened,
you hit the markers, and voila
my ā€œoldā€ foscam app had that and it was super useful

it’s easy, all Wyze has to do, is put MARKERS on the timeline for events triggered (continuous record)

I have a micro WYZE SD card and it shows the timeline as ā€œgreen sectionsā€ my understanding is That there are recordings however when I go back to play them it says ā€œno video at the selected time. ā€œ I have switched it to continuous recording and still not able to see any playback features and when I go to my albums no pictures or recordings available. What am I doing wrong? How can I view what is on my SD card and how do I access this cloud they speak up?

I have noticed an issue similar to this. I have an SD card in my cam and it was working fine for months but all of a sudden it says not recorded video at selected time?? Wyze what is going on?
