Loud Machine Like Noise Coming from Speaker

Damn, this is so annoying.

Where is the solution?

I have 12 cameras here.

Are they all wasted??

Cannot believe the silence and nonchalance of the Wyze support team.

Nobody knows at this point if it is a Wyze issue or an Amazon one. And either way, software development takes time.

As of now the temporary solution is to unlink your cams from the Echo Shows (or disable any routines that bring up the video on the show, and don’t ask it to view the cams).

This is HELL…

Total silence from Wyze and Amazon.

Well I guess in theory it is better than dual finger pointing… at least then it would be acknowledged though. But at this point I’m sure Wyze is aware of the issue (Amazon probably doesn’t care).

I am also having a problem viewing my Wyze V4 cam on my echo show. I’ve used my echo show for years now to view my Wyze cameras and now I hear my Wyze V4 camera making an annoying feedback screeching noise out of its speaker everytime I ask Alexa to show me it. I came here looking for a solution

This is happening to me also and not only will I hear that screechy feedback sound coming thru my echo show from my camera but I can also hear it coming out of my cameras speaker. It’s a new Wyze V4 that I have in my living room window looking out at my porch.

Yes as you can see it is a known issue. Unfortunately I don’t use mine with an Echo device so I can’t fiddle around with trying to mute the mic in the show or mess with settings, but I think people have already tried several things with no luck (other than physically disconnecting the speaker in the cam).

I too have had this problem since last week, and I replaced a v3 cam with a v4 thinking that the previous camera had broke. Has anyone received confirmation that this is a known issue to the company and that they are looking into it?

Just followed this and the process that fixed on my Echo Show 5 was to restart the camera from the app. It only happened on my older wyze cam when connected via Echo show; both older wyze cam were making noise. when I displayed v3 cam on echo show, it did not make the noise. pulling out the wire did not work rather, restarting the device from the app worked.

I just checked my cameras using my Echo Show 8. They all are now making this noise. This problem definitely involves using the Wyze cameras using Amazon / Alexa Show. Haven’t used my Echo Show 8 in a while to access these cameras so I don’t know when this started but it is very annoying. I like to leave my Echo Show 8 displaying my driveway, now I can’t because I get the noise outside from the camera and inside from the Show 8. Hoping they get this fixed soon.

We (Mavens) have asked directly, but I have not yet seen a response to this issue from anyone who works for Wyze. I just asked again, and I’ll share what I know when I see an update.

We do see an increase of users bringing up this issue and we are looking into it. We have been unable to replicate it yet. From what I can see here it seems to be happening on multiple camera models, and the commonality is that they are connected to Alexa. Please correct me if I am wrong or if you have more info since I am passing everything up to the team that is looking into it.

Yes, I noticed it on my V4–loud enough to scare animals off my deck (deckcam). It only happened when I turned on my Amazon H97N6S (5 inch diagonal screen). I usually only monitor the one screen–don’t split screen multiple cameras, or anything else. I don’t use it for any other purpose. It also does it when I tried to use it on other cameras–OG, V3, etc. Very annoying! I hope there’s a fix soon…

Yes, its a problem with old and new models that are connected and trying to view a livestream on Amazon Echo. See the attached file for an example.

Can anyone experiencing this issue please let me know if it also happens when you use the Alexa app?

It doesnt appear to have that problem through the Alexa app.

It’s not an issue of using the Alexa app for viewing, it’s requesting a view on an echo show via Alexa or you have Alexa routines created to display/livestream the cams to an echo show. I had to disable 10 routines to remedy the issue and have reported my experience in the forum. I have been monitoring the forum for this issue and it is growing daily as more users post their experiences. This is not an issue to be ignored or delayed waiting for protocol all i’s to be dotted and t’s to be crossed.

Can’t Wyze be proactive for once on behalf of its users?

Same here!!!

I’ll say it again.

Baby monitors waking up babies!
Neighbors complaining about noise!
Warranties being voided to disconnect the speaker!
Product being replaced!
Waste of time troubleshooting!

Most of this could have been mitigated days ago with a simple statement that Wyze and Amazon are working on it. No blame.
