It works consistently on any 128GB. One more interesting note. The Pan v3 on updated firmware are taking a long time to connect and giving code-20011. The old firmware is rock solid.
Hi @thillock , thank you for the detailed information and logs. This is very helpful.
Weâll review the logs and continue the investigation. Weâll reach out if we need anything further. Thank you!
Thanks for the additional details.
Just to clarify, are you seeing the -20011 error only on the Pan v3 running the updated firmware, or have you also noticed it on any other Wyze models? Thank you.
I just purchased a pan v4 . Iâve tried 7 sd cards and non of them are recognized. My outdoor cam v4 constantly records and stops then starts recording again.
Hello yes , I have been having issues with my Video Pan, Iâm not sure what version it may be . However, I would rather converse with someone over the phone that way I can gather all the information and give to you all but my video doorbell pro stops recording as well I donât know why itâs not extended but Iâm not all that tech savvy but will be giving customer service support a call tomorrow morning to see how to fix this! Thx you for all you guys do and keep up the good work
I had the V4 working for a few months and all was well. I went out of town for a couple of months. During that time I caught something on one of my other Wyze cameras but when I tried to check a different view from the video on the V4, it said no SD card. Two months later when I returned I checked the SD card, thinking maybe I didnât put one in. It was there. I popped it out then put it back in, worked immediately. That V4 was inside the house and not touched while I was gone.
I have 2 Wyze Window cams, newly purchased. Both are plugin version 3.10.0. Firmware version 1.3.0.23.
I have sony ultimate pro 512 GB micro sd cards that have been formatted to exFAT. Photo of the front included. I tried to insert the front and back but was given the error message, ânew users can only embed 1 photo.â
The cards been formatted to exFAT.
This started on day 3 out of the box. (They updated firmware on day of installation.)
The issue: It will record events for a day or two on the SD cards, but then not record anymore. I remove the SD cards from the cameras and insert to my pc to check storage and integrity. There are no issues. However, I should note that when the videos do actually record to the sd cards, they are difficult to access within the app. (I have 5g high speed internet in my home.)
I tried removing from the camera, putting it back into the camera and it made the ting ting noise, but then the camera doesnât even detect motion /events (notify me or record them to the sd card or recognize them in the cloud app). So I restarted the cam. Restarting the camera causes it to start detecting events again, but still not recording to the micro sd card.
Hi @thillock , after reviewing the logs, weâd like to clarify a few details with you.
In log 2220755, the behavior matches what you described. We can see that both the 128GB and 32GB SD cards were inserted and working normally.
However, in log **2220753 (**D03F27D751AD), we only see a 32GB SD card inserted and functioning normally. There is no record of a 128GB card being inserted during that session. The device was powered on with the 32GB card already inserted and remained that way until the log was submitted, so it does not appear that a 128GB card was inserted but not recorded.
Additionally, in both logs, the SD card status appears normal from the system side.
Could you please confirm whether the 128GB card was inserted into device D03F27D751AD, and describe what happened at that time? If possible, please submit another log right after inserting the 128GB card so we can further investigate.
Thank you very much for your help!
That is because it wonât recognize it. It jus says need to format then fails. Same card will insert in 2220755 or any other camera and work with no formatting, I can format on 2220755, Put that into any of the other Cam Panâs running newer firmware and they fail to be recognized. Sent log 2229388
do you need us to send in any of our non-functioning cameras?
Or have you recreated the problem in the lab?
Wyze pan v3 had constant SD card issues, Tried many different SD cars and none would work. Some would work for around 5 minutes, then when you go back view footage, it would say no video available at this time, in the wyze app, i can see that the SD cardâs information on how many storage I used. The card worked fine on other wyze cam, and also format the SD card in the wyze app. Very frustrating experience, since security camera should work for safety reason, but non i cant view any recorded footage
I cannot send messages yet as I am new and donât want to upload public. However if you still need data on this, I have 7 active cameras including: indoor V2, Wyze V4, Cam pan V3 and V4, V3 pro and V2 Pro. Most if not all are or have experienced SD card read issues for about 1-2 months.
Hi I have the same issue , my 2 cameras Cam V3 are having recording issues since a few weeks ago , is terrible. I need them to record for security reasons. Anything you guys at waze can do to help me ?
Hi @omnavia ,
Sorry youâre running into this issue.
Could you please try the troubleshooting steps below on the affected camera(s) and let us know the result of each step?
-
Remove the SD card from the camera, wait about 10 seconds, then reinsert it.
Please let us know whether you hear the âding-dingâ sound. -
If there is no âding-dingâ sound, please check whether the SD card can be read and written normally on a computer.
-
If the SD card works normally on a computer, please back up any important data and format the SD card.
-
Reinsert the SD card into the camera and wait about 1 minute, then check whether recording resumes.
If the issue still happens after these steps, please also share:
-
the SD card brand, model, and capacity
-
a photo of both the front and back of the SD card
-
whether this started after a firmware update
If possible, please also submit a device log through the Wyze app and share the Log ID with us.
Thank you for your help!
Hi @d82l ,
Thanks for offering to help. If youâre able to share a bit more information, it would really help with our investigation.
Could you let us know:
-
After formatting the SD card, does the camera start recording normally again?
-
Can the SD card be read and written normally on a computer?
-
If possible, could you also share a photo of the front and back of the SD card?
If you prefer not to post it publicly, feel free to send it to me via direct message.
Thanks again for helping us look into this.
Hi @thomaspanda ,
Thanks for sharing the details!
If possible, could you help us check a few things:
- After formatting the SD card, does recording start normally and then stop again after a few minutes?
- When you check the SD card on a computer, can it be read and written normally?
- Could you also share the SD card brand, model, and capacity?
- If possible, please also share a photo of the front and back of the SD card.
This information will help us better understand what might be happening.
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
I have a Cam Pan V3 with the latest firmware. I tried to use a 64 GB microSD Amazon Basic card with it.
The card (fully formatted as FAT32) was inserted and the camera was turned on. It was displayed in the camera app settings. A day later, I wanted to see what had been recorded, but the camera claimed it had no microSD card.
So I took out the card, connected it to my PC via an adapter, and of course found the recordings.
Personally, I believe that the Pan Cam V3 can reliably operate cards with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. Because so far, they all work. Regardless of the manufacturer.
My seven Cam Pan v3 cams are running 128GB and 256GB Samsung high endurance cards formatted to exFat with no issues.
