Loading SD Stream Cam V4

Brand new camera. I was able to view SD card events earlier today, Now I get Loading SD stream. I’ve read other posts with this problem on other camera models. What is Wyze doing about this? Yes it’s a new SD card, yes I formatted to FAT 32 on a PC.

Haven’t had the issue on my v4. How big is the card? If over 32GB, format it to exFAT which should be the default in any PC.

The other thing that comes to mind with a lot of these issues is that I’m used to closing apps as soon as I’m done with them but I know a lot of people just “switch” apps and leave them open. Seems like with certain apps that can cause a lot of issues, so closing and reopening may be all that is needed.

Here is what I found. The first video event on the SD card will have the floating dots and the Loading SD stream. If I choose any earlier event, you see the Loading message briefly, and it disappears. If another motion event comes in after the afore mentioned “first video event” it will display the Loading Live Stream, but the next one in line plays fine. Still seems like a Wyze problem, as if it’s looking to load the next event on the card, but there isn’t one.

I haven’t had any issues like that. I would suggest taking the SD card out, formatting it using the sd card formatter utility from sdcard.org, then putting it back in the camera. See if that helps.

Beyond that, the message you’re seeing can be related to connectivity but wouldn’t make sense that you can view other cilps and livestream if there was a connectivity issue.

Only other suggestion if formatting the card doesn’t work is uninstalling and reinstalling the app, some of the updates have caused glitches.

What brand/type of SD card is it? There are lots of fakes out there, if it is one of those, that can cause odd behaviors too.

The SD card is San Disk class 10. It’s not junk. It’s been formatted. Understand you haven’t had the problem, but if you search the forum there are a number of other threads and models with this complaint. The fact that I can easily reproduce warrants a response from Wyze. I’m not holding my breath. I know the workaround.

If you’re looking for a response from Wyze, I’d recommend contacting their support, this is primarily a user to user forum.

You said you formatted it to FAT32, but for cards over 32GB that is not the standard. Mine has a 128GB card formatted to exFAT using SD card formatter that I suggested before. Have you tried that?
