I played the video on my iPad and had Merlin listen on my iPhone. The verdict is House Finch or American Robin but that was using my location.

Thanks. I wondered if it was a house finch because it started right as another house finch was coming in for a landing.

The larger bird on the left is a female Cardinal. The other two are Rosy Finches… popular in Ohio.

  • Males* are rosy red around their heads and upper breasts. They have brown streaks on their back, tail, and belly.
  • Females are brown with streaks on their back, tail, and belly.
  • Both sexes have notched tails, and conical beaks designed to eat seeds.

Thanks. Yes, on the Cardinal, and the other House Finch. I thought maybe it was a juvenile House Finch.
