Light sensor in v3 cam to sensitive for evening recording , any background light washes out image?

Light sensor in v3 cam way to sensitive. All evening recordings are subject to white out because of standard lamp or ceiling lights on, what’s the point? I have 5v3’s and all of them have the same issue? Having white noice across the video is annoying at least.

That’s the trade-off for “color night vision”. I use an old V2 when recording scenes with bright light sources.

Ceiling lights and lamps should not be washing it out. Are you switching “night mode” to on? Meaning turning it to IR mode instead of standard?

Unless the light is hitting it at an angle where it is causing a reflection in the lens (like sunlight sometimes does) I don’t see why it would be causing issues, many of mine have lights near them without problems.

Can you post some examples?

Maybe indoor LED lighting but it does not seem to bothered by this 150W Halogen floodlight.

All of mine are near LED lights and no issues, but that’s standard A style LED light bulbs which are full wave rectified. Some strip lights and others are half rectified and can mess with cams.

I have dual LED Flood Motion lights at the front and the back of the house as well as a Motion LED Porch light and all cams seem to work to with them. I have no cams viewing the indoors, I do have two indoors looking outdoors now until I move my newest V4 outside.

What did the issue/resolution end up being? In case others may benefit from it in the future.
