Does anyone know what the latest is on video not being recorded to SD cards in some cameras? For example I have several V3 cams that were recording just fine to SD, but since one of the latest firmware updates (I guess) only the motion icon is seen in the timeline. No video recording shade around it.
Upon placing one of the SD cards with the issue into a PC reader, the card seems bricked… can’t even format it to FAT.
What the heck happened? 
More than 1/2 of my cams have this issue.
Mine says the card does not exist, tried a 256gb purple with same issue, does not format.
Three words: WYZE Quality Assurance
WYZE QA is truly horrendous and has been since the company was founded. This holds true with the hardware itself as well as firmware and application updates. When I buy one of the least expensive cameras available, I know what to expect.
plenty of posts about this issue on the forums and reddit, but no resolution. They tried once to look into it, then that support person left.

So it seems what happens with the SD cards is varied.
I was able to format some of the others and 1 or 2 seem to work … for how long

Already seen one of them back to not recording video. Almost like the cams are just wrecking the SD cards in different ways… is this what a corrupted card looks like?
I have an open ticket with support & they’re having me do troubleshooting that I don’t really have time for, especially since I have to climb up a ladder to get at some of these cams… not to mention, some of my cams are in remote locations that I have to take a flight to get to. Had these cams and SD cards for a long time & never had these issues until couple few months ago.
Can’t help but wonder if this is a sneid way of forcing subscription to cloud recordings.
