It’s Jan 2024 and I have an IMPROVEMENT to the “default display size” solution. This one’s for all of you Android users who hate having to blow up your font size just to accommodate one poorly coded app.
Start by setting your default display size. Then go back to Settings and look up “Smallest width” under Developer Options. (Enable Developer Options by tapping “Build number” under About Phone ten times). Take note of what the dpi number is - on my Pixel 7a, it is 411dpi. Your goal is to get as high of a dpi number as possible until the Wyze app auto-rotate crash starts happening again. It’s pure trial and error so you have to set a dpi then go to the Wyze cam and trigger landscape mode.
I got up to 478dpi before the Wyze app started crashing again. It’s not as small as the old 520dpi that I used to run (note: without issue on Wyze for years with multiple Androids until VERY recently for some strange reason) but it’s small enough to truly feel small.
