Lack of Support

My cameras are getting older but when I bought them we were promised a 12 second video forever . My cameras worked better also. Now, they hardly capture an event and all I get is a snapshot that I can’t even enlarge. These people should have a class action suit for lack of promise from when purchased our cameras. There is no shortage of adds to sell us video at monthly cost though.

Not sure what your complaint is. I have CamPlus Lite for all my cameras and it is working fine.

You are telling me that your cameras take videos and you do not pay for service?

I use a SD card with no issue. He is using Cam Lite.

Also no cost…(choose your price of $0 per month).

As of now, all Cam Lite users are still grandfathered in and still eligible for 12 second clips. Do you have Cam Lite on your account - maybe it is under a different account that you stopped using or something, or your cameras just have become unregistered and you need to re-link them?

My device information says Cam Pan. All I know is they stopped giving videos and now just a snapshot. People deliver to my house and the cameras don’t even pick them up. I just changed my internet and re-established all the cameras and they still do the same thing. The firmware is all updated.

The camera has to be associated with a subscription - either the free “Cam Lite” which only older users have (no new users are allowed) or the paid “Cam Plus”. If you don’t have an SD card, that is the only way to get videos of events.

Within your app/account you should be able to see if you have a Cam Lite subscription and if so, ensure that camera is associated with it. Once it is, you should get the 12 second clips.

I cannot find anything about a subscription. Device info says “Cam Pan”. I have event recordings turned on but when I click on an event picture and hit the play button it takes me to subscription choices. Nothing plays a video. So nowhere can I get a video like I used to get for free

Cam Pan is just the camera model, your subscription would not be shown on that screen.

I started using Wyze stuff after Cam Lite stopped accepting new users (and my cams aren’t supported anyway) so I don’t know a ton about it, but if you were getting 12 second clips before, I believe that means you have a cam lite subscription somewhere, and you probably just need to go in and re-add the camera(s) to it. If you’re grandfathered in, you keep the functionality for the number of cams that were associated before they shut it down, so you can add/remove/replace cams as needed, as long as they are supported models.

Your other option is to use SD cards, then you can record as much as you want, not just 12 seconds, and the event will take you to that recording by tapping “view on SD” or whatever it is called.

If you can’t find where to access the cam lite settings hopefully someone else here can chime in. My guess is it would be under the “account” tab in the app, or maybe you need to log in to the wyze website to modify it, not positive. Can probably google it to find a wyze help document on it too.

I appreciate all your help. I don’t remember but I know I had some issues with the SD cards. Might try them again. I don’t know what subscription I have, can’t find one, but I just think they have taken my videos away, hence my initial comments. When I bought my cameras we were promised lifetime videos. Very disappointed inWyze and will never buy anymore. Thanks again for your help and support.

They haven’t broken their promise, users who had the cam lite still have it. Like I said, you just need to find the settings for it and make sure your cam is associated with it, sometimes they become unlinked.

To view your subscriptions you need to log into wyze.com (if you try and do it from the app it will tell you to log into the web site).

Once logged in click on the symbol for a person.

Next click on “Account”. You should see the following screen.

Click on the down arrow next to “General”. You should see the following screen.

Click on “My Subscriptions”

You should see the following screen.

Click on “Access my Wyze Web apps”

Your there. In my case I see the following.

It’s a bit convoluted but you can now see what you are subscribed too. In my case I upgraded to Camplus and you can see it preempted Cam lite.

Thanks, I can’t see any of that since I don’t have it, so couldn’t help OP with the process. I’m assuming under the subscription you can then select which cameras are part of it?

Cool. I wondered about it, but I don’t have it.

I am happy without it.

Im paying $9.64 per month for 3 cameras. I can’t afford to pay for my other cameras.

Upgrade to Unlimited for $10 a month. I believe it’s for up to 100 cameras.

I do have the “Cam Lite” but apparently my are all unlinked because when I click play all I get are subscription ads. So how do you link them? I just set up all 6 cameras on my new fiber internet.

If you follow the instructions/screenshots @ronl4625 posted you should be able to re-link them in your account via the wyze web site.

Their support page says you should be able to do it in the app, but sounds like that may not be correct anymore. It says to " Just assign Cam Plus Lite to them in the app under Account > Services > Cam Plus Lite ."
