Just got my Wyze cameras V4 for outside my house

Wish me luck I’ve just opened my boxes of the cam v4 and I’m setting them all up this evening… hopefully I’ll get it right… I’m blond I may need some extra luck tonight… :wink:

It is best if you can mount outdoor cameras under a gutter or some kind of awning to protect from rain and direct sun.

Take your phone, make sure the wifi is on and walk around to the locations you plan on putting your cameras after you set them up and see if you have a good wifi signal. The V4 works on the 2.4GHz WIFI band only.

Also, when mounting keep in mind how you will be getting power to the v4.

You might also test your v4 inside a window before mounting outside. Here is a v3 camera aimed through a double pane window during the day.

Hey nothing wrong with being blond! My old boss was blond and she was the smartest boss I’ve ever had, and technical too. :wink:

I would recommend setting up your V4 near your WiFi router to make everything go faster. After it’s setup then you can move it outside to where you want it.
