Back scratcher
This looks like a floodlight camera, why didn’t the light turn on?
No it is a V3 behind a double pane window.
My mom’s goofy cat will do something similar: If he sees me walking through a room he will often move right into my predicted path, flop onto the floor, and then roll onto his side and back to stretch and expose his belly. He likes belly scratches more than any other cat I’ve ever been around.
V3 cams have an impressive video quality, even without IR. Not much need for V4 or OG.
The quality for that window cam would be better with just a little more light. The area just outside the window is a covered area and blocks addition light.
They were excited when they made the big jump from v2 to v3/star sensor/outdoor rated so they made it extra good to make a big splash.
Cute kitty.
My black cat lives to do this to strangers. It’s his favorite thing to do, run right in front of their predicted path and roll around on his back. Extra Dirty cement is preferred.
People think it’s so adorable though.
Who wouldn’t think so? I suspect this guy knows that it is, and that’s probably one of his reasons for doing it.
Cats will sometimes do this to spread their scent to mark territory.
In the spring, my son’s Boston terrier will find a juicy earthworm in the yard and proceed to roll around on it, thinking his smell will get on the worm. It is the other way around. He smells like a worm.
He’s not goofy …He knows he’s on camera and is hamming it up !
