To start, all cams are running the latest firmware and tge App is 3.0. I’m running the latest distribution of Android on a Samsung Galaxy S22+.
After buying a Pan cam V3 and then a Cam v3 and now the Video Doorbell v2 I have found the Wyze app to be buggy First was setting up to record to SD. Theres an option to select it but sometimes it works, Sometimes it doesn’t.
Next was setting up the Doorbell v2 to use my Pan Cam V3 as a chime. When I selected “camera as chime” on the configuration page, the window opens and immediately closes but gives me a quick glimpse of my Pan Cam V3 in the selection list first. It happens in less than half a second. This is immediately followed by a small grey box centered at the near bottom of the screen with text #fail in it. I try again and again and always the same result.
Next is getting push notification from the Doorbell being pressed showing up on my phone. They don’t. Well more than 90% of the time they just disappear into the nether. Next are the VOIP intercom between phone spp and Doorbell. If the Doorbell sends the notification ill see a popup at the top of my phone screen in which I have maybe a second and a half to see. When I do catch the pop-up it opens a screen with a little phone icon at the bottom that you press to start intercom speach with your visitor.
The next issue is your voice then coimes out like Alvin the Chipmunk. The features of the app work sometimes and sometimes not. Is anyone. testing the software after its released? Theres things I’ve forgot to list but these are the biggest.
