Isolating recording field

here is my question for the community, when i use my app to setup the recording parameters i get different options (see pic) one to drag the corners and the other to isolate squares. myquestion is how do i get away from the drag corners and switch my field to isolating squares?

The squares is the way it is supposed to be. It was previously changed to the squares on all the cams. But, some users are experiencing a random reversion to the old single box method. It has been reported to Wyze and they have made efforts to fix the issue but for some, the old method still persists. I believe it is specifically on V2 cams.

Many V2 and PansV1 with same firmwares. Some of them have the small boxes and the others the big one.

Detection zone -bring back small boxes

New update to cam v2 makes me pick a wide swath for detection zone vs the small Boxes. Now Im getting too many alerts due to blowing branches etc Please bring the boxes back or allow boxes within the wide zone to eliminate some areas [Mod Note]: Your request was moved to this category for better visibility in order for you to receive help from the forum community.

I did not notice this when I first updated to 1851, but since then I happened to delete and re-add my V2s. Now I get the drag-to-resize box, not the previous detection zone grids. It doesn’t matter in my current setup but if you need the grids I would suggest not to delete/re-add your V2s. I suspect that if you turn off your detection zone it’ll come back as a big box, not grids on iOS.

Detection Grid Gone all my V2's

Got a new modem and had to add all the cameras back. Now I’m back to stretch to fit detection zone. All of the small square little grids are gone. Firmware is up to date. How can I fix this?

Wyze is a great camera, and i have them installed at my senior relatives houses to keep a watchful eye about. i will keep following this thread although i know all great things take time to fine tune.

My experience so far is Wyze is ignoring the issue.
I recommend you get used to it.
