As I ponder maintaining a database of my Wyze things I wonder -
Is there a relatively easy way to export the MAC addresses (and other details possibly) to a .csv file in Android?
I have an IFTTT applet that is triggered when a new device is discovered on my home network. I have it logging the MAC accress and the date/time to a Google Sheets spreadsheet. I also have another that sends me a notification to my phone. When I get that notification I go to the spreadsheet and add a friendly name I can remember to the sheet.
Excellent is this shared on IFTTT?
Any chance that it could pull the info for all existing Wyze devices… ???
I was hoping that Wyze could provide us with a csv downloadable extract of our Wyze devices with their device info but that would have to go through Wyze wishlist…
Also there do not appear to be MAC addresses for the Home Monitoring devices such as sensors as only the Wyze Sense Hub is IP connected …
Does your router have Configuration Page with a Device List?
If I remember correctly you have a Mac. There is network scanner tool by iWaxx that it will export everything including MAC addresses to a text file. Here is a link:
Thanks for this link to LanScan. Does it provide the name and / or model of Wyze device or just that it is a Wyze device? I have similar lists that mostly show that it is a Wyze device but not what it is.
Unfortunately it doesn’t, it only lists them as Wyze Labs Inc, but you can assign Hostnames like I’ve done here.
Thanks for sharing screenshot. this is very helpful. So it looks like some Wyze devices provide name info like garage cam and others do not.
I see we both have Bosch dishwashers!!
Freaking love it. It is so quiet you don’t even know it’s running. The only thing I don’t like about it is that there is no light when it’s done washing and drying.
On ours, there is a red light that projects onto the floor that goes out when it is finished.
I also setup that we get an announcement on Alexa speaker when it is finished but is is a bit of a kludge and states that Bosch dishwasher has dropped in on the den … we chuckle but at least we know it is finished.
I have sent in a request to both Bosch and to Alexa to update the Bosch skill for Alexa to allow for trigger that I can use for a proper announcement
Yeah, that’s the problem, it goes out instead staying on.
