I don’t want to play this game anymore. I have Cam Unlimited and all my plug in powered cams record continuous 24/7, 365. Don’t want to miss what kind of trouble the 
clan is making.
I guess this post has pretty much run its course. Here is what I have learned:
- If SD card recording is on the, camera will record to the card regardless of any other settings.
- Turing the SD card on and off cannot be automated as it’s not in the list of things you can automate.
- If events are turned off and the card is on, you will get no notification it had recorded anything but you can find snippets by looking through the timeline (not easy).
- I would request that Wyze add turning the card on and off to the things you can automate.
Nothing more to say really, I now now know how the camera works. I do not want my 2 inside cameras recording anything when I am at home. I will have to manually enable the cards in the 2 cameras when I leave the house. They are not in private areas of the house, I would never have any cameras in bedrooms, etc.
All my cams are outdoors except the two indoors looking outdoors flush against the two windows.
