Oh yeah, thats too close. Which cam are you using? I did post some pics with measurements on I believe the new V4, but I’d have to look for it.
Coincidentally, the day before this was announced, my wife and I were enjoying watching our feeder from our newly completed and enclosed back porch and I mentioned it would be interesting to be able to have a camera on it. So this order was a no brainer for us. A bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism. I was eager to mount my new feeder. I was pleased with the mounting options, but was unable to mount mine via the included pole stand because I was unable to find a pole in which it would fit, except for an old rake handle I had in my garage. I wandered the 2 big box stores for an hour each in vain and the only thing that came close in size for fitment was lead pipe, of which I would need to buy a few at a cost of more than the feeder itself. I finally opted for using the upper bracket mounted to a steel fence post. FWIW, I don’t consider the hanging options as viable at all. Whoever came up with them apparently didn’t realize the voracious ability of the Southern Squirrel to chew most everything including nylon rope, and they must also have much more faith in any type of suction cup after weeks of UV and heat than I do. Aside from those issues, I think this is a very well configured design. Now, if I could only get my newest Battery Pro to finally connect onto my Cam Plus Unlimited plan, I’d be able to see video from it.
Got mine. Strapped to a tree for now. Design is nice. You get every strap or connector there is. That’s extra with bird buddy!
I’m using a Battery Cam Pro. I had to capture events using motion detection only because smart detection is not picking up pets.
The birds love the feeder. But they are going to wear out the battery fast. I’m not sure a solar panel could even keep up.
Focus is nice and I have great videos. I need a bird book!
I think I will be putting a V4 in this. I just have to figure out where to do that with power access and ease of filing up the feeder.
Great design overall. Everything is secure and locked down. Easy to fill. NOT easy to take the camera out to replace battery. But that’s to be expected if you want a secure camera.
Love it overall. Bring on bird identification. Bird achievements, photo gallery of birds that are captured… Count the birds, with monthly reports on bird activity…

What do you mean? Mount one to the bird feeder?
I think the main issue is probably that it can’t easily be secured to the bird feeder. When I set mine up, I screwed my camera onto the camera stand in the bird feeder so it would be stable and stay in place during windy conditions, etc. I’m guessing the OG cam will FIT in there (at worst you could take off the tall stand), but the issue might be that it would be hard to secure it in place. Maybe use some double-sided tape or command strips or something? It might even stand just fine with nothing securing it. Maybe you would have to readjust it if a bird pecks at it or the wind shifts it a little, but I assume it would work okay. But to be fair I didn’t actually try one. I’m using a Battery Cam Pro.
I have upgraded my feeder to the use a Solar Panel. First day in the sun is tomorrow. The birds are clearing out the feeder in 1 day.
I want to mount this on a movable pole… so I bought this:
I sat with it for a second on how to attach it and basically… the pole attachment on the feeder, fits perfectly on the RED Arrow part… But that goes down when you start screwing the pole together. A guy at work can weld for me so I’m going to have him weld the 2 blue ends together and that will allow me to have a perfect post end to mount the solar powered feeder. I will send pictures when complete. This is a VERY tall pole and seems very sturdy. The 4 spike mounts are heavy duty. I feel like this is a good $20. There were probably some other ways to do this with the parts provided but… I’m too lazy to go buy more hardware. Some of you probably have all the nuts, bolts, washers needed.
It got it to work. I ended up drilling a hole in the blue mount. And then just putting a screw through it to secure the OG.
Small update… I’m dumb and made this WAY too hard… All you need to do is to cut off the tapered shoulder (blue circle) at the top post where you want to put the birdhouse. Then it will fit perfect on top of the pole. No welding required. The rest of the poles will screw together naturally and BOOM, Birdhouse pole. Perfect fit. I will have pictures later.
Below you will see the modification to the pole section (red arrow) that is the top of the pole. Cutting that off accommodates the pole connection for the feeder.
Question for Solar Panel Users of the Battery Cam Pro users: Should I see a charging icon on the Battery Cam Pro when the solar panel should be charging the camera?
I just need the macro lens for the v4 that I have to use on a bird nest. Will you sell it?
I would like to order 3 now 
Also what magnification is the macro adapter. I suspect it will take you guys forever to offer it for sale so I’m looking at making my own. I’ve tried 2x and 5x and they aren’t as clear. I’m guessing it is 10x?
