Interference blurring camera?

Theres three specific people that, whenever they walk by my floodlight, my camera blurs them and their dogs out as if its like a CCTV blur. What could be causing this? I have their face pictures from other efforts but im still curious how it happens?

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like an interesting problem.

That tech could be handy to evade cameras.

I’ve been wanting to ask the same question! There is one in particular when around my cameras, seem to degrade the performance. Connectivity is laggy, video quality is grainy, motion blurry, even with adequate lighting. Streaming live is terrible if not impossible, as if latency just went through the roof. Ai won’t even detect a human most times at night if the IR lights are not on. Unless these Wyze cams are really this bad. It just looks like I’ve got a semi visible phantom walking around.

Dog is even blurry

Objects moving sideways across the field of view are the ones most impacted by video compression. Low light makes it even worse. These cams use a ton of compression. I remember I briefly tested the v3 cam and sent it back because the compression artifacts (ghosting, blocking, blurring) were so bad. My OGs, v4, and Panv3s are decent but they will have it from time to time especially in low light.

Here is a sample v3 video of ghosting/blurring in low light with video compression. Notice the green bike being loaded into the pickup. The green bike is clearer when stationary.

I’d be fine with this quality, this is the normal quality i have at night. Look at my picture again. Do you even see the guy walking the dog? The screenshot was taken when he was most visible in his crossing of my camera. Even in better light, he just became more invisible.

That is very strange. You have me stumped. Hopefully others will chime in.

That image was pretty much the reason I tried and returned the v3 camera, the ghosting of movement, especially at night or in light rain was awful

My V3 looking out a double pain window works ok. It’s depends on the light.
