Installing Wyzecam on FireTV using TinyCam Pro

Here are the written instructions on how to install Wyzecams on your FireTV using TinyCam Pro. This works on both the FireTV and FireStick, but works better on the FireTV. So here goes.

From the Home Screen on the FireTV click on the magnifying glass (search button) and search for TinyCam Pro. Click the app to download and install the app.

Open the app and select ‘ADD IP CAMERA’ I know this is a lot to do but you have to do all these steps for every camera you add.

Scroll down and give your camera a name. Can be anything. Do this for each camera you want to add.

Under that, select Wyzecam under ‘Camera Brand’, this will automatically put ‘Wyzecam’ in the ‘Camera Model’ tab. This works for V1, V2 and PanCameras.

Scroll down to ‘User Name’ and enter the username that you have setup in your Wyzecam App. This will be the e-mail address you used when setting up the account. Remember, you have to enter this info on every camera you add to the FireTV

Scroll down and enter you Password, again, the same password you used on the Wyzecam App.

Scroll down to ‘Advanced Settings’ and click on it. Under ‘Channel Number’ you will want to number this to correspond to the camera number you have set up on your list of cameras. For instance, as you look at the app on your phone, the top camera is number 1, second is 2 and so on. So, if you want camera 1 to be the first camera on the FireTV, then leave this number 1. If you want the fourth camera on your app to show up in the number one slot on the FireTV, then change this number to 4, and so on. Change this number to reflect each camera you want to show up on the FireTV. You can put in as many cameras as you want. Keep in mind that the more cameras you have installed on the FireTV, the more bandwidth it is going to suck. So if you have slow internet, your cameras will be slow and twitchy.

Now click the upper left tab and select live view and you are done. Remember, you have to go through all these steps for every camera you add. All the information is exactly the same except for ‘camera name’, and ‘Channel Number’. When you have more than one camera installed, you can click the up on your remote and scroll over to the three dots on the upper right, and select ‘Cameras Per Page’ to change the layout of how you view your cameras. From there you can highlight the camera and select it to make that camera go full screen.

One last thing, in the setup page for each camera, the camera status will always say ‘failed’. This is normal. Even though it says failed, it still works.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. Will probably buy a FireTV expected to be on sale on amazon Prime Day.

Just tried my chromecast dongle. Tinycam pro works but it can cast just ONE camera at a time.

Currently I am using a Fire 10 and tinycam pro’s webserver to view 4 cameras at a time on my notebook’s external monitor.

I setup first camera and it works great. Can’t figure out how to setup second camera. I don’t see an option to start the second camera setup. Need help. Thanks

After installing the first camera, click up on the remote, click on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner, then click ‘Manage Cameras’ and in the upper right you will see ‘Add IP Camera’. Click that and add the cameras like you did the first camera. Remember to change the camera number on the SSL screen at the bottom. Hope this helps.

I setup 3 cameras and even with different ip addresses, I get the same camera view on all of them .

You have to change channel #.

ip address doesn’t matter, I use the same channel # for all my 9 V2 and 2 Cam Pan.

You must scroll down to the bottom of the setup page to the ‘Advanced settings’ tab, click that and change the Channel number to reflect each camera in the order they appear on the app. It is in the instructions I wrote at the top of this page.

“Scroll down to ‘Advanced Settings’ and click on it. Change this number to reflect each camera you want to show up on the FireTV.”

Here is the link to the video I made that shows how to do this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yobIoKuojMQ&frags=pl%2Cwn

Just got my Fire TV which was on sale today on Prime Day. Installed tinycam pro and running webserver. It works very well. Now I can stop using my Fire HD 10 tablet for running webserver.

Is tiny cam pro 3,99 USD and is it worth it.

Yes it is, and I think it is well worth it.

I purchased the tinycam pro for my firestick. Do I have to purchase the app for each additional firestick

tinyCam dev here.
No. You do not need to purchase for every Firesticks. Just use the same Amazon account you bought the app from. In this case you should be able to download tinyCam PRO for free.

Thank you for the instructions. I got tinycam working on my Fire stick and a chromebook–with 5 cameras-- but it won’t run in live mode on both at the same time. The chrome book shows errors for every camera as long as the fire tv stick is live. Does anyone know why?

Alternatively: I tried to work around this by running the tinycam web server on the Fire stick, and a browser on the chromebook but I couldn’t find an option on the web app to layout all the cameras. Did I just miss it?

If I have 5 wyze cam and I use this setup, do you guys know if the feeds go up to wyze cam cloud first and then come down to the firetv (android device) or it directly goes from wyze cam to andriod device?

If there was no internet will this still work or is there a way to keep the streams local to not use up all your bandwidth for no reason (unless you really wanted to view remotely)?

To establish connection it will go through the cloud first. After that all video/audio data should go locally.

@isaiahsdad How do you enter the Wyze 2FA verification code on a firestick? That’s where I’m stuck with Tiny Cam Pro…

I must be doing something wrong, as I don’t see “Tinycam” on my Fire TV Stick when I do a search to download and install it. Any ideas? There are only some rip-off apps listed.

I have three different Fire TV sticks. Do I have to manually set up the TinyCam Pro app for all my cameras on each stick, or is there a login method that would copy my 8 camera-setup to each of my Fire TV sticks?
