Just added the Wyze Single Pole switch, works great has a switch. But when adding to Wyze App goes thru setup and when I attempt to name the Switch I am getting Operation Failed.

What is the name you are trying?
I’m having the same issue. I selected Kitchen from the listed names. Even if i change the name or enter a name manually changes nothing. It still gives “Operation Failed”.
Here what i figured out to get it to work. It would fail at naming on my Samsung S23. But was able to use my daughter’s S20 to add it. Did firmware update to 1.2.28 then deleted device. Now it works fine added with my S23. Hope this helps.

There was a certificate update in 12.28. Wonder if only older software would work before that? Interesting, thanks! 
All but one of my switches is failing when I try to name it
Hi all,
I recently tried to install 2 Switches in my garage.
One works as expected, and I love it. The other only works manually (correctly, but only manually). When I reverse their locations, same thing. When I replace the non-functioning switch with a new one, same behavior.
Is there a proximity issue, maybe?
The error message (after successful download and installation of new firmware) is “Operation Error” when I try to name that misbehaving switch.
I have several others scattered around the house, and all work great.
Ideas welcome!
My 2 switches in my garage are 3-way switches, could this be your problem?
Yes, they don’t with 3-way wiring.
