Ilegalmente email sharing

When sharing my camera I noticed across all my cameras there is an unauthorized email that’s able to view and share my cameras! This is very unacceptable!!! I erased all the data, reset the cameras and this email is continuoisly authorized to use, see and manipulate my cameras! Before you begin thinking it’s a neighbor, I live in an area with no other houses, impossible to make an instant connection to an additional user of this user is not already written into the reboot codes of the cameras. The email is [redacted]

[Mod Edit]: Email address removed.

Are you saying within the app, when you go to Account | Sharing, you see the email address mentioned? If so, simply unselect any devices that are shared with that email address and you should be good. If you never actually shared any cams with that user, I would change your WYZE password after you stop sharing cameras/devices with that address.

As far as I know, nobody else can “share your cameras” except for you or people that have access to your account.

Below is a screen shot from my app when I go to Account | Sharing. When I expand the first drop down and click the pencil icon, I can select or unselect the cameras/devices I am sharing with that user. When I expand the second drop down and select the pencil icon, I can unselect any of the items that user has shared with me. Not sure if I unselect something shared with me if I can get it back or if that user has to re-share the item. I suspect the later, but would have to test and the user sharing is not technically savvy so I do not want to go there.

Too bad WYZE doesn’t have a user manual that I/everyone could reference. Instead you have to hunt and peck through their website to maybe/hopefully find answers.

Welcome to the Forum, @whogan1!

In addition to the suggestions noted above, I’d also advise a few other things:

  • Ensure that you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled: From the app’s  Home screen, navigate to  Account ➜ Account ➜ Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Check your Trusted Devices and remove any that you don’t recognize:  Account ➜ Account ➜ Trusted Devices. Note that doing this may require you to re-authenticate your own account (i.e., you may need to log in and confirm with 2FA if you wish to use another phone, tablet, etc.).
  • Consult the Report Suspicious Activities page and consider contacting Wyze Cybersecurity with the information described there.

The latter (requiring a second sharing invitation) is my recollection from when I tried this once before.
