I don’t know if they’re considering “smart” door levers, but Palm Lock’s Product Manager mentioned this a couple of months ago:
Hopefully this Wishlist topic will be interpreted as encouragement to make these other products “smart” locks/latches and not just hardware/finish matches for existing deadbolt products.
