Where can I find replacement parts for re-mounting my v2doorbell? It got ripped off the wall and the very thin plastic mounting plate broke in half and all 4 mounting hooks are broken also.
might you be speaking of this mounting kit?
If the tabs are broken off the original wall plate, then I don’t think the Wedge Kit is going to supply what you need. I believe that kit is designed to work with the original wall plate, because you still need those tabs to slide the Video Doorbell v2 onto the mount for attachment.
One of your easiest solutions might be to find a model for 3D printing and make a new plate yourself or have one fabricated. I can’t vouch for this particular model, but it appears that one of the STL files in this package would supply the plate you need:

If you don’t have the facilities for 3D printing yourself, then you might search to see what’s available via a local library or makerspace. You could also consider other mounts, and you can search sites like Printables and Thingiverse for alternative mounting designs. If you do that, then you’ll want to see if the original plate is still required as part of the new mount. Depending on how badly your original plate is damaged, I imagine you might be able to use it as a “spacer” of sorts in another design, or you could potentially modify another design to add material for this space yourself, depending on how that design requires/expects Video Doorbell v2 to be attached.

Another thought, I don’t have one of the doorbells and this probably sounds kind of hacky, but 3M makes an outdoor rated foam tape (grey in color with red removable plastic strip) that I’ve used on lots of stuff and it is pretty bulletproof. But I’m not sure what the back of the doorbell is like, if there is a spot you could put some on or not.
Something like that might work, depending on how much wiring needs to be tucked away. I think I’ve read complaints about how thin the Video Doorbell v2’s wall plate alone is (without the wedge mount) because it doesn’t leave a lot of recessed space for the wiring (as this is a wired-installation-only doorbell). I think that’s something LifeHackster may have commented about when he reviewed it, too.
3M definitely makes some good stuff. I have a battery-powered Battery Video Doorbell that I stuck up (its wedge mount) with 3M Command Poster Strips. That’s outdoors, and I used the poster strips as a temporary mount because I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted that doorbell camera. I might go ahead and use screws at some point, but the strips are holding remarkably well for now, and the mount still seems solid when I remove and reattach the doorbell to charge it.
There is plenty of flat space on the back of Video Doorbell v2 to use an appropriate tape, so that could be a decent option if the mounting surface is amenable and the wires can be sufficiently tucked away (like pushed back into the wall).
I’ve yet to find an even moderately smooth surface this stuff won’t stick too, and you can even double it up on itself if you need it thicker. It also peels away clean (though I’m guessing it would remove loose paint, it does not pull off as easily as the command strips).

Never tried it on anything really rough, but I doubt that’s a need here.
Another that I’ve found very useful (not for this purpose) for mounting stuff to glass is
3M VHB Tape 4910 Clear
Clear and has held dash cams to my windshields for years in hot sun and cold winters, yet peels off clean. It is what originally came with the cams but when I have transferred them to other vehicles, I didn’t want to spend $10 on a single piece, instead sourced a bunch from amazon for about that price and cut to size. Have used it for various other glass purposes too.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I’m using the 3 M tape idea for now while I check out the availability of trying the 3D printable. Too bad I can’t just order it directly from Wyze. Sounds like there may be many others with a similar problem.
