I have 2xV3 and 2xV4 cameras but a phantom wired device keeps poping up in my router?

When you refer to…

…I picture something like this:

Video Doorbell Pro ⇄ Chime Pro ⇄ WAP

Since the Help Center describes Video Doorbell Pro as being one of the Wyze devices that supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, my expectation would’ve been something like this:

Chime Pro ⇄(Bluetooth)⇄ Video Doorbell Pro ⇄(Wi-Fi)⇄ WAP

I would’ve thought that the Video Doorbell Pro was the actual Wi-Fi device, linking to Chime Pro via Bluetooth, but now that I look at the Video Doorbell Pro Setup Guide, it seems to indicate that the Chime Pro is the (or an) actual Wi-Fi device.

:exploding_head:

I don’t have any of these to play with, but I think you’re probably on the right track with this.

Going back to my previous post, are there actually 4 MAC addresses involved? 1 Wi-Fi and 1 Bluetooth for Video Doorbell Pro and 1 of each for Chime Pro?

Now I’m even more curious about which doorbell model @madusmacus has.

Sorry i didnt reply sooner i was all kinds of busy :¬(

I have the black top white bottom one that has a big battery and a chime
“wyze video doorbell pro” its connected to my 5ghtz band

if i stop the wired thing connecting to the ether net in my router
weird things start happening

  1. viewing doorbell is flaky and goes offline and also
  2. one of my V3pro cameras goes offline as well

I have just allowed the rogue wired device to connect to the internet i will see if my system gets better

this is jsut not right :¬(
i have to wear pyjamas now in my own home :¬):¬):¬):¬)
