Having the same issue with headphones with the latest firmware 2.1.126. I also tried recording directly on my iphone, but I can barely hear anything.
To be honest, for $50, the Wyze headphones already do a lot.
I only expected the microphone to work because they advertised it on the webpage.

I’ve suddenly had people complaining about my mic level - using either a Mac Mini or my iPhone with a variety of different apps - Skype for Business, Google Meet or Webex. I’ve also had issues with the headphones not playing anything from my iPhone even though my phone shows the audio as playing - the only thing that seems to fix it is to power off and on again a couple of times. Both issues seem to have started about a week ago - before that I’ve been really happy. current firmware version 2.1.133

I’ve been using the headphones since December, so I can write a fairly honest review. The microphone is hte only complaint I have about the headset.
I’m on firmware version 2.1.143 and I get complaints from people about being hard to hear, The microphone is too weak. Sometimes reconnecting to the call fixes it, but often it does not. So I tend to use another wired headset that has a stronger microphone.
If there was a way to software booast the gain on the mic, that would be ideal.
I have been having the same issues with teh Mic on my Windows 10 machine. Today I decided to try some stuff and somehow resolved the issue. So I brought up the voice recorder app in Windows and recorded sound of me saying test and it was very low also. I realize that maybe the noise cancelation was using the mic and so it made it low. I toggled noise cancelation off and when I recorded, the sound test was good volume. I thought that if I put noise cancellation on again volume would be low again. I turned on voice cancellation and re-recorded test. Volume was still high. I would suggest you toggle it by button on headphones to see if it worked for you guys too. Best of luck.
