I got my Wyze Cam v4 and set it up and it is working fine on my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. How do I make it connect to my Wi-Fi 6 network? I did not see any way to do that when setting it up. The specs list on the website: Connectivity 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6

@dave27 - Thanks again. Likewise with separate IoT 2.4 only network. Have guest network available but not setup. Nothing specific for trusted devices but can use device isolation feature as a comparable and designate specific devices for QoS. Simple life :slightly_smiling_face:

[image] Crease: I don’t know what this means: [image] fmills1d: dismissing the fondness for :upside_down_face: I would like to know the same as I don’t think I gave any sound advice on this post. I was just shooting the s..t

[image] habib: I was just shooting the s…t I may or may not do that from time to time. Sometimes I play with Markdown tables just to see if I can come up with something potentially useful, like maybe this: Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Wi-Fi 6E (￩ extended) :point_left: these are names or :point_left: labels for standards 2.4 GHz :white_check_mark: :negative_squared_cross_mark: :white_check_mark: :white_check_mark: 5 GHz :white_check_mark: :white_check_mark: :white_check_mark: :white_check_mark: 6 GHz :negative_squared_cross_mark: :negative_squared_cross_mark: :negative_squared_cross_mark: :white_check_mark: :point_up_2::point_up_2: these are actual bands or frequencies[1] source: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/resources/wifi-6.html Note that frequencies are expressed in GHz, which is gigahertz, and that this is not the same as the “G” used in wireless communications labels like “5G” where the “G” stands for “generation”. ↩︎

I freaking love that chart! After seeing it, I hope no one will ever confuse WiFi6 and 6GHz band

Thanks, man! I even cited a source and added a footnote!

[image] dave27: What, no Wifi 7 love in the chart? No! Make your own :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: table! Do any Wyze devices even support that yet? I’m aware that Mesh Router Pro supports the Wi-Fi 6E standard and down/backwards, and that a few Wyze cameras support the 5 GHz frequency, which is part of why I created the table that I did, but mostly it was for fun and learning some Markdown. :man_shrugging: (Okay, and maybe shooting the :poop: while possibly being relevant to the topic title.)

Now you need a table that shows 4G, & 5G (Cellular Data) is not the same as Wi-Fi 4 or Wi-Fi 5. :upside_down_face:

Just read the :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: footnote. (Give 'er a clicky-clicky. It’s the [1] after “frequencies”.) This is only an example for Antonius. ↩︎

[image] Crease: Do any Wyze devices even support that yet? Well if there is a “7” mentioned in any spec for any camera I’m sure someone will be here claiming false advertising soon enough.
