I’ve had the Wyze Solar Cam Pan for a while and it’s done very well for me. My question is, how do I completely power off the camera ? I’ve used the App and clicked on the “Power off” button and the app shows the camera is “Powered off” though, it continues to track any movement…
Any help on this please !
Remove the battery.
It’s a sealed camera unit, battery is not removable.
That’s not good. So, when the battery dies you’ll have to get a new camera?
Huge mistake by Wyze. It makes the camera have a limited life and such and Apple move with user non replaceable batteries. Follow the money, it’s always about greed.
The Wyze app has a “Turn off” / “Turn on” toggle in the menu strip… as far as I can tell, it truly turns off the solar pan cam.
If this camera is anything like the rest of the Wyze cams, the on/off button doesn’t really cut power off, it just puts the cam in stand by mode.
