Wyze cameras wont "turn off"

My Wyze Cameras wont “turn off”. I realize that turning off the cameras via the app is really only turning off notifications, monitoring, and recording, but that’s what I want. We have 3 cameras at our cottage and friends staying there for the weekend. We have turned off the cameras via the android app but they continue to remain in the “on” state. The app initially show the cameras are off, but when we exit and restart the app the cameras are still on.

I would try deleting the App Cache in App Settings.

Then power cycle the camera and your device with the Wyze App.

Thanks for the tip.

I’ve tried with 2 different android phones. I doubt the the cache has anything to do with it. When I’m next at the cottage I will try cycling the power on the cameras.

Also tried making a rule - All Off - (that supposed to do exactly that) with no luck.

Since your cameras are at a different location, you may want to consider using Smart Plugs to cut the power for a few seconds each day.

Cameras that are not responding may not be able to execute your All Off rule.

I may give that a try. First I will see if cycling the power does what I need it to do.

Again, thanks for the help.

Cycled the power for the cameras (off overnight) and now I am finally able to turn them “off” via the android app.

Thank you StevenA for your help.
