As the title reads…does anyone know how to disable/turn off sound detection?

Sound Notifications
Camera > Gear icon top right > Notifications
Record Sound
Camera > Gear icon top right > Advanced Settings

The title of this thread and the subject in the 1st post are not the same. Sound recording, notification and detection are semi-independent. Sound recording is just that… sound is recorded on all video captured. Sound detection triggers the capture of a video event stored in the cloud based on the detection of sound. Sound notification alerts your viewing device that a video event was captured and uploaded to the cloud based on a sound trigger.
@StopICU33 covered sound notification and recording. 
This is how you access the sound detection toggle.
