How can I tell that a WyzeCam is genuine?

I’m planning to expand my Wyze portfolio of cameras and I’m thinking of buying them off a third party seller off Amazon (I’m in Canada).

The question is, how can I be sure that the camera hasn’t been tampered with? Like someone opened it and added/removed things to the circuit board.

If someone did modify the circuit board, would the camera still connect and work properly with the Wyze app? Can someone potentially see the footage from the camera by adding something to the circuit board?

Just a word of caution on buying Wyze cams besides Amazon direct and Home Depot. See the thread below:

I would imagine this is a prime example of a “grey” market reseller. From what Gwendolyn said recently only Wyze and Amazon direct are authorized Resellers on Amazon. Home Depot too. But I would say these folks are definitely not authorized. The sad part is folks will buy from them.
