Hose Explosion!

Interesting this did not trigger motion capture when it happened nor for the hour and half before I got home and turned off the water.

If that was at my house it would have been recorded because the hose would have been flying around and probably beating the table.

Well luckily it didnt cause any damage. Thats the 2nd time that hose exploded too. Time for a more heavy duty one I think.

I’ve had a few Swan Brand hoses explode but most of them were about 10 years old. I have them on a great quality hose reel but they are still exposed to the sun everyday. I have to remember to turn off the water supply after use so they don’t stay pressurized especially when it’s like 100 degrees + for a week or so.

Here is my 10 year old Swan hose. It was advertised as Soft and Supple. Been sitting in the southern sun for 10 years, so I think I got my moneys worth. I now only put low pressure on it so when it starts to leak I am going to buy another Swan.
