Looking into home monitoring for the first time and trying to understand what part Cam Plus Unlimited and Pro play in this realm, as they both mention security modes and Pro mentions emergency dispatch. Can someone help explain this?

Looks like they took the HMS out of all comparisons though. I think they’re trying to distance themselves from the HMS lately.

Meaning you think they’re going to remove that offering at some point? Or simply that it will be available standalone and just not looking to include it within the CP services?
I can’t speak for Wyze, but if I had to guess, I think they will likely soon consider it grandfathered and deprecated. They’ll let people who have it, keep it. I think they’ll stop promoting it or advertising for it, and may eventually stop allowing new subscriptions for it, similar to what they recently did with what used to be called cam protect, or can plus lite.
Their new subscription, Cam Unlimited Pro, is intentionally incompatible with the hms, which tells me they want to de-prioritize the hms.
But again, I’m not speaking for Wyze. Just making wild predictions based on the public signs.

Do we know what is meant by 24/7 monitoring here? My initial assumption was that was the professional home monitoring, but it sounds like it’s not. Wondering what is different between CPU and no services at all on that front.
I think they just mean it will record cloud events as long as there is sufficient motion and notify you about things based on your settings for what you want to be notified of (ie: Person detection).
They have talked about providing the ability for 1 camera to record to the cloud 24/7 even if there is no motion, for the Pro plan.
They have also discussed adding professional monitoring (Emergency Dispatch), where, when an alarm is triggered, a person from Noonlight texts or calls your phone and potentially dispatches law enforcement for you if you don’t answer or say you need them. But I believe this service is something they said they would add to the Cam Unlimited Pro plan sometime in the future (I don’t think it is currently active).
