Help Needed: Collecting Device MAC for Doorbell v2 Offline Issue

So, I took someone’s suggestion and split my Wi-Fi “ATT fiber” into 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It’s been two days so far, and my Doorbell V2 is still online. I’m not getting my hopes up just yet, but it seems promising. This is the longest my doorbell has stayed connected… if anyone need help. How to split att fiber router let me know.

It’s the band steering causing the problems I believe. I have solve three homes with the same issue. My personal home I installed a nighthawk behind the AT&T router and only connected to the 2.4. It’s been almost a week now and no issues. You can change this in your AT&T router BGW210/320 - Disable WiFi Band Steering - TOAST.net

Shout out to the Devs… I see changes  I hope we’re approaching the finish line.

It’s not a band steering issue as I have always had a dedicated 2.4 GHz network that I connected my Wyze doorbell to. It just decides to disconnect over and over. Sometimes going a week or longer with no issues and sometimes a day or so. Using Spectrum internet modem with an ASUS router providing my WiFi.

That would be my understanding, as well, since Video Doorbell v2 is not on the list of Wyze devices that support 5 GHz.

You are correct. It did last about 4 days, but it went offline when I woke up today. This has become a security concern now.

This has been happening to me for a couple of months, nothing has changed regarding my wifi, and I have reset it, removed the SD card, removed/added it to the app (several times), updated the firmware and the app, etc. It only stays up for a day or two and then goes offline again. Not sure where to find the offline timestamp.

What firmware does it say you’re on?

I’m on firmware version 4.51.2.0578. Fun fact: I just logged in to check, and my doorbell is offline again. lol  I’m not even MAD anymore…

MAC: 80:48:2c:26:dc:37
Firmware: 4.51.2.0578
drops offline daily at different times, 1:51AM, 2:03AM, 10:27PM

Having this exact issue daily. Resets work for maybe 24-36 hours and then it disconnects from the WiFi again. Can you enable dm’s for me so I can send MAC address info? Thanks!

Please retry sending MAC to WyzeBaohua at your earliest convenience.

Is not this topic covered by this below? Looks like all the posts complains on the same issue: doorbell cam V2 is disconnects

Iam having same issue,my Mac#DO3F27B71A43.The support team was very nice and sent me a replacement, but after reading more posts it doesn’t seem to work with a new one.Ihave AT&T gig and all my cameras are working fine except the V2 doorbell and sometimes V2 floodlights.Seems to be a V2 problem

MAC: D03F270D567D
Firmware: 4.25.1.333

Just reset the doorbell V2 (again) and went in search of how to actually fix it…

Wont stay online and have a dedicated 2.4Ghz SSID for it.

The plot thickens. This time after cutting power to it, removing it from the app, and going through setup again, now I do not have a blue circle. No light at all. It works (it dings the analog chime) and I can see video through the camera, but no light ring. In fact, the first time I hit Reset it said “Ready to connect” but there was no flashing orange light. Then I hit Reset again, and this time I got the flashing orange light and the “Ready to connect”. But once I was done, no blue light. So, so, frustrating.

Is it possible you toggled off Camera Status Light in Advanced Settings? What happens if you fiddle with that and hit the Restart button?
