Couldn’t add a new Outdoor Cam v2 to my base station and ended up deleting the base station and all 3 outdoor cams on my Android Phone App. Then, I couldn’t even add the base station to be able to add the outdoor cams. Used my wife’s identical Android Phone and was able to install the base station and all the cams properly. Should I have deleted everything from my Wyze App; deleted and re-installed my Wyze App; and, reinstalled everything for my phone? I have several indoor cams as well. I tried every cam and router suggestion found in these forums and on Wyze’s support web pages. Nothing worked. Finally, I tried doing it from my wife’s exact same phone as mine and everything worked normally. Now, I have to manage all of my outdoor cams from my wife’s phone and all of my indoor cams and other devices from my phone. Not ideal. Does anyone want to try to solve this one? Thanks…
Was your phone on the same 2.4GHz network as the WYZE base/ cams you were trying to set up and is your wife’s phone on the same Wi-Fi network as yours. I normally have my iPhone connected to the 5.0GHz Wi-Fi network unless I need to set something up with WYZE then I change it to the 2.4 for any set up then back again.
Yes, it sure was/is. I always made sure to connect to the 2.4ghz band vice the other two 5.0ghz bands on my tri-band router when adding any wyze devices. In my router software, I could see which port on my router where the base station was properly connected. The ethernet cable between the router and the base station is good. The only difference is the app and on which phone the app is installed…
does each phone have its own account? You could log into your account on her phone or just use one account to have all your devices installed on. I used to do the share thing with my wife and her account, but she wanted access to the SD card footage and i kept on forgetting to share new devices i set up with her, so instead we just use one main account for both our phones.
The devices and settings are saved to the cloud, not your phone so if you logged in on her phone, some tablet or any other device, your devices on your account would show up.
