Why does it record the green box on the image? Is there a way to make it stop? Thanks in advance.
First thing I do on a new camera install - turn off the stupid green box.
Thank you!
Thanks!
I used to keep it off also, but when motion detected movement, I couldn’t see what the camera saw as motion. Might turn it back off because it usually has a green box around a tree branch or headlights.
Could be worse. I bought a couple cheap Tuya Wifi cameras that follow motion. Aside from having an image worse than Playskool camera, when it detects motion it follows the motion but does not return to center. So I sometimes got a nice still shot of the edge of my deck or the bushes in front of the house. In the meantime who knows what is going on when the camera is not looking.
Heck,they were only $15.00.
I have all mine enabled, I like seeing on the preview picture exactly what triggered it. Sometimes it is just a shadow and that makes it quick and easy to ignore it.
That or the automatic firmware update?
Same, plus it’s something that I usually recommend people turn on—even if only temporarily—to assist with troubleshooting Detection Zones.
The only time I turn on the stupid green box is if trying to troubleshoot detection zones (almost never) - then the stupid green box gets turned off.
Actually I have auto firmware update enabled (and in the beta program on all my camera models). I’m daring, but it has never bitten me.
