Garage door opener sharing not working

After a recent update to wyze beta, the shared can v3 with garage door controller isn’t working. We can share the cam, but the garage door controller (open/close) not longer shows on the shared account. Uninstalled and reinstalled, unshared and reshared..

If you believe that this experience is specific to a public beta (WyzeBeta) app or firmware, then sharing the actual app/firmware version with which you noticed this issue would guide moving your post into the appropriate Beta topic. That might be a better way to get visibility on your issue from actual Wyze employees here in the Forum.

My wyze controller shows me video of room, but stopped opening garage door.

I worked with tech support who couldn’t solve this problem of controller button disappeared this week from my Wyze App on my Pixel7 after working for a few years!!!

What gives? Must be system problem if video and sound work, but controller button does not appear.

Looks like last update eliminated controller button to open garage door, HEY give me help and solve this BUG

V3 camera, help would be appreciated

I updated everything, tech support suggested. HELP

I am having the same issue. My app version is 3.10.0 (745). The same version is running on the devices I started the v3 with. It is not a beta version and I was able to share the opening function until this version installed earlier this month.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I’m having the same issue.

Since 3.10.0 (745) on Android hit I am also seeing from the “DEVICES” tab :

“Garage is Open”

Even though the door is closed.

I tried restarting the camera and Opening and Closing the door via the app (which worked because I am the primary user).

Inside the “Favorites” if I open that camera in the Events it has an entry “Garage Closed Detected”.

Update 1/24/2026 7:30 a.m. CT

Went through “QR Code Calibration” which is under “Settings”, “Accessories”, “Garage Door Controller”, “QR Code Detection” again and it now shows “Garage is Closed” under Devices.

Had this problem on android with the latest app update in Jan. Rolling back to December released app fixed my issue.

Having the exact same issue. App v 3.10.0(9). On Apple iOS 26.2.

Same thing iPhone. 17

Same here, iPhone 17 PRO

Powered it off stop sharing reload app nothing worked

One phone has the opener iPhone 17 pro other 17 pro doesn’t. Since yesterday as well

If those of you experiencing this issue would please post your app versions (an actual number, not “latest”), then that might be helpful for diagnosing this problem. I’ve pinged someone at Wyze to take a look at this and what might be another related Garage Door Controller issue, and in that other topic there’s an indication that rolling back to a previous app version resolves that issue.

Since this is a weekend, I wouldn’t expect an official response from Wyze before Monday, but sharing the requested information here seems like a good way to help them begin to solve this.

How can we roll the version back?

Shared with version

I don’t think it’s an app issue at all. I’ve shared the garage camera with my wife. We’re both running app version 3.10.0.745 com.hualai.

Importantly, if I use my credentials to log in on my wife’s phone, the garage door open/close button appears.

I suggest to Wyze that the problem is with the sharing protocol suddenly not sharing access to the door controller along with the camera.

Wife’s phone experiencing this issue. We both have 3.10.0 (745), The Garage Controller is shared with her. Even after reinstalling the app, and even unsharing/resharing - it’s not coming back for her. My account has the garage controller, being the account owner. Wyze - Please fix this! The last version worked. How can I roll back?

I think the additional information about how this is affecting shared-access and not owner/primary user accounts is key, so thanks to those of you who shared that in the related topic, which has now been merged into this one. I’ve passed that information along to the person I pinged at Wyze about this. Again, though, I don’t expect to see anything official from them before tomorrow.

I also think this reinforces my earlier comment about being explicit with app and firmware versions on the devices when posting. The way this topic is developing, it appears from my outsider’s perspective that this was detected in a public beta app but not reported in that topic and thus not remediated prior to the subsequent production app release. I’m not trying to assign blame to anyone here. I’m saying that this seems to have been missed by Wyze and other testers and that Forum members who choose to use the public beta apps and firmware could better help the community by reporting problems in the Beta topics for products they’re using.

For those of you who choose to use beta products and provide feedback, thank you!

Regarding rolling back the app, that’s possible on Android by uninstalling the current app and installing a previous version from a third-party source like APKPure or APKMirror. I’m not aware of a way to do this on iOS unless maybe an older version can be restored from an iCloud backup or something. That’s just speculation, though, as I don’t use that platform.

My expectation with something like this is that Wyze might push an app hotfix if they’re unable to remedy the issue with a back-end change, but that’s just more speculation as an outside volunteer.
