Browsing the Wyze store, I realized there’s a replacement part for the Garage Door Controller cable splitter. Is this the same cable splitter that comes with the Cam v3 spotlight kit, or would it at last work with it? The splitters to the 2 spotlights I have for v3 cams both stopped working, I verified the power cable to the spotlight itself stopped working but cable to the camera still provided power. Evidently this is a common issue that Wyze failed to resolve. I got one replaced under warranty (they just replace the entire kit, not just the cable) so I technically have a spare spotlight unit. The cable on my other one failed after the warranty period and the replacement one just failed this week. Upon the initial issue a Wyze rep said there’s no replacement cable and I had to buy my own… What!? I filed a ticket and was told that was incorrect info and I’d be sent a new spotlight kit.
Anyways, fast forward to today and I saw the garage door controller splitter cable in the Wyze store and it’s basically the same cable with the addition of a barrel suppressor on each cable end near micro USB male connector. So would this work with the Cam v3 and spotlight?? If so, it really should be labeled as compatible with both.
