Okay so I was able to get 5 of my 8 camera’s working again (the other 3 are at a different location so haven’t tried yet). Additionally, I don’t have any 3rd party software like you guys have been mentioning so that wasn’t my issue. Also keep in mind that I had already tried to run the OTA update for 4054 on these cameras and then afterwards they wouldn’t connect (not even if I tried setting them up again).
How I fixed them.
Factory reset - For anybody not aware unplug the cam, take out the memory card, plug the cam back in, After powered back on (not during, like when flashing), hold down setup button for like 20 seconds or so. You’ll hear the setup message once, the camera will reset (a clicking sound) and then you’ll hear the setup message again.
Re-add your camera by going through the setup process again. If you use cam-lite, using the same name will keep you from having to re-add the camera to it again, but you’ll still need to adjust your settings.
After setup is complete, the cameras reconnected to my network and had the 4054 firmware on them (I’m assuming the new firmware loaded from when I first pushed the OTA since I didn’t have to do it manually).
Then I updated the firmware 3 more times (OTA) to get to the current firmware. Each firmware installed and worked on each camera but one I had to power cycle between one of the OTA updates. (most camera’s didn’t need this).
On one of my camera’s yesterday, I updated the firmware manually to the most current version (after the factory reset). This worked as well.
The annoying thing is you have to get up on a ladder to factory reset, but from what I gathered, loading the firmware manually shouldn’t be needed.
