I changed routers but kept the same SSID. Some cameras automatically connected to the new SSID. In the app I can see they have the correct IPs. New SSID uses 172.xx as an example. Old SSID used 10.xx as an example.
The cameras which aren’t connecting to the new SSID show 10.xx in the app.
If I plugin my old router the cameras on 10.xx sort of work, the connection is very slow and will timeout more often then it will connect. They show 10.xx in the app.
Anyway to force these cameras to update their IP or connect to my new router?
Shut off your old router. Power cycle all the cams, they should get new IPs from the new router.
The app is only showing you the last IP it knew about. If a cam doesn’t reconnect, the app will show the old IP even though it is no longer live. If the cam can’t reconnect (flashing red and blue light usually) something in the new router is causing an issue. Make sure your new router is set to WPA2 only, and that “N” wifi is not disabled in it.
