I have always accessed the recorded SD card footage of my cameras by selecting that camera and viewing the photo snapshots in the “Events” tab. When I come across the time period I want to view I select that snapshot and then click on the “SD Card” option at the bottom.
My issue is not with my v3 or v4 cameras I have. I can still do the same I mentioned above but my issue is with the two Floodlight Pros I own. I accessed my SC cards the ame way described above on the Floodlights Pros for as long as I’ve owned them. There must have been some sort of Wyze change recently that prevents access to my SD Card.
Now when I select one of my Floodlight Pro cams and click on SD Card I see the usual cam footage on top but the bottom scrolling option has changed. It’s all segmented into “motion” events and when I scroll the red line in between these events (to view the footage that I have recorded as ‘continuous’) then I’m bumped to the nearest event instead. Even then, it doesn’t actually show me the footage of it. The still screen shot above in the window remains the same. Notice the time selection I made with the red line is not what is shown in the video footage above (see pic for my issue). Both Floodlight Pros are like this. This issue must be on Wyze’s end.
Why? WHY CHANGE WHAT IS ALREADY WORKING WYZE!!!
Please help!

Try clicking the circled icon.
All that seems to do it toggle between two different ways of viewing the same info but neither allow me a
to access my continuously recorded footage.
With this screen, you’re looking at the timeline of the SD card content for the day. I don’t know of any other “SD card content”. Are you expecting to see individual 1-minute files?
The newest app version (676) has modified this screen; now you get a calendar to let one pick the day of the “SD card content”.
I’m just trying to access my footage on my SD cards. I screen recorded a video explaining my issue in more detail:
That is an awesome review.
If you go to the Events tab, and not the camera directly, then filter on the floodlight camera in that location, then stream an event, do you see the SD Card symbol?
Can you create a log of this issue and post it here. In addition, have you created a Ticket? If not can you create one as well. If you did, I apologize, but put them both here.
I will see if we can get some eyes on this for you. No promises, but will try.
Can you try one additional thing, not this this is the issue, but - On the bae below the live stream of the cameras, you can swipe the bar right and left to see other options for the live stream. Can you try swiping to see if the SD Card appears?
I have the flood light pro and these are my menu’s under the Floodlight Pro Lice Stream (Note: I also have Cam unlimited but that should not change these options):
- SD Card
- Take Photo
- Record
- Siren
- Album
- Turn Off
I still do not see the SD card option. All products are up to date on firmware too.
I created a log and started a ticket, which I guess is through AI.
AI made a whole bunch of suggestions that were irrelevant or that I’ve already tried. One thing I hadn’t tried was deleting a camera and reinstalling. I tried that and I still have the same problem.
I screenshotted the log and AI tickets but the forum says I can only attach one photo (being a new user), so that won’t work for me.
The log ID is 1922677. And AI suggested the following possible issues:
- Card corruption
- Improper insertion
- Compatibility issues
- Firmware or app issues
Considering BOTH my Floodlight Pros are having issues AND they’ve been inserted for some time now, then it’s not problem 1, 2, or 3. I use the same cards in the other cameras too. They are all on continuous record so they are overwritten when the card is full.
Like I said, I’ve rebooted and then reinstalled the floodlight to no avail. And with all my firmware up to date, it can’t be Problem 4 either!
I have reported this to the team, and it is being looked into currently

I’ve had this same exact issue - all my wyze cams (V4 and V3 are working fine but the SD card option is specifically missing from my two (2) Wyze Floodlight Pro’s.
I also just noticed that I can’t toggle on/off the microphone or speaker to the camera.
I tap the picture so the options appear however when I touch either icon it remains s crossed out.
Same thing is happening to me. My Floodlight Pro now doesn’t even give me the option to click on SD CARD button to review the day’s recording, It only shows events on my timeline with gaps between.
I contacted wyze, tried all the troubleshooting, they even sent me a new Floodlight Pro because I purchased the 3 year warranty and I’m still having the same issue. None of my other cameras set to continuos recording are having this issue. I believe it happened with the most recent update. Frustrating for sure.

What he’s saying is we use to watch continuously straight on a sd card now they have changed it and now we can only get the alerts and that’s a problem because I was trying to playback and see what direction these individuals came from and it wouldn’t let me. Also my neighbor dog got stolen and I couldn’t view the time line continuously without it stopping and going to the next minute frame. Wyze that’s not fare trying to discourage us from the sd card and make us go through extra changes to view it on computer by that time it’s to late. You guys are promoting fast response and we as customers can’t access fast on our sd cards
It’s unfortunate because I also have 2 new Wyze Floodlight V2’s and they are showing the SD Card Option - but the Wyze Floodlight Pro’s are not - and they are the more expensive and better spec’ed product technically speaking. Frustrating since my SD cards are super locked in on a high roof so I can’t just easily go and grab them and run them in the computer if I ever have to look back on videos past 2 weeks.
Same here mine is to high to claim and retrieve a sd card however the sd symbol use to be on there and after they did a update it went away and I put in a troubleshooting log and I was told that I have to access a computer if I wanted to view anything and that’s not fare at all for customers like me and you and others. I wish we as wyze customers need to ask for that service of sd card back
Thanks for reporting that to the team. Any update for us?
Jason,
Is there an escalation step I can take on this issue? I haven’t been contacted by Wyze at all and this issue is essentially rendering these cameras worthless if I can’t access my footage. I’m growing concerned over Wyze’s products and their lack of customer support.

It’s very frustrating that Wyze changed a function of their product AFTER people purchased it for the specific function they purchased it for. This wasn’t an update or change I opted into. They literally changed it. I have my Wyze Floodlight Pro on my patio which is next to a highly trafficked sidewalk. I purchased this specifically to continuously record 24/7 so I can have nonstop footage of my rental property and record any potential issues with bad actors so I can report it to my apartment manager.
When is Wyze going to fix this issue they created? It’s making me not want to spend more money on these products.
I have the same opinion. My trust in their products are in question by their doings that has, like you, rendered my $150 purchase to be useless. I understand mistakes (if that’s what it in fact is) are made but when I’ve created tickets, contacted support, then had Wyze affiliates on their forums report the issue and I hear NOTHING from Wyze for an extended time it makes me question whether I want to continue being a customer.
I’m very disappointed and won’t be buying any more products.
I have several floodlights (all 3 models) and all on “Continuous” SD recording. I have no issues with SD recording at all. There were a few incidents in the past, but they’re all working OK now.
