I have multiple Floodlight Pro cameras that are currently running firmware 2.2.1.135, which was released on March 14, 2024 and is now 2 releases behind the latest firmware.
Whether I go to Account > Firmware Update or to the individual camera settings via Device Info > Firmware Version, I am not presented an option to update to either the latest firmware version (2.2.1.1176) or the prior firmware version (2.2.1.1168). My cameras seem to be stuck at 2.2.1.135.
What can I do to get the latest firmware pushed to these cameras?
I have tried power cycling the cameras and I have also attempted clearing the cache in the app.
Does the app say it is up to date? Wonder if something in your network setup is blocking access to the firmware server.
You could temporarily enable hotspot on your phone (assuming you have that feature) with the same wifi name and password and disable your regular wifi, see if the floodlight is able to check for/see a firmware update that way?
Thanks! I should have mentioned that I also checked the app version.
See my additional comment in this thread. After looking at some of the other forum threads, it sounds like 1168 has been intentionally blocked and I just need to wait for 1176 to roll out.
Ah, that explains it then, though usually they remove it from the firmware page, I’d think it would at least update you to the previous one. If you’re having issues with events uploading that suggests a possible wifi or internet upload bandwidth issue, that could potentially be interfering with the firmware checks too?
But one of the updates suggests they fixed an issue related to that, so maybe not related.
I have 1135 on one floodlight pro. It refuses to upgrade to 1168.
When 1176 showed up, I wanted to upgrade the 1168 to 1176 but I upgraded the floodlight with the stable 1135 to 1176 by mistake. fortunately it seems to be working OK, crossing my fingers here.
Jason said the most recent firmware was released as a “slow release” so they’re releasing it to a certain percentage at a time. I don’t know what the percentage is this time, but for example in the past they’ve done things like 20% of people will have access to it The first week, and then another 20% the next week and so on. So if you don’t have it yet, just keep checking over the course of the month.
