I’m curious to know if anybody would know why the firmware on 2 different Cam OG cameras (purchased almost a week apart from each other, both from Amazon) don’t have the same firmware version. One has version 1.1.0.97 and the other has 1.0.98.
Probably different production batches.
Are they exactly the same physical hardware? I would guess probably not. Somewhere on the camera (probably the bottom), you should see a sticker that shows the FCC ID and Model. If you look at that, then I imagine you’ll see differences.
Also note the Release Notes & Firmware page, which lists both “Wyze Cam OG” and “Wyze Cam OG (2025 Version)”. I believe they did something similar with Bulb Color in the past, and I imagine you just happened to get one from older stock and one from newer inventory with your separate orders. Given the numbers you’re showing, you appear to be current with both.
