Why, why, WHY!!!
Issues of all cameras suddenly going offline after firmware update.
Ongoing bulb issues, and now the cams??
It happens. This is why I avoid all upgrades unless there is a very good reason (or I am forced). Good luck; you may have to try flashing firmware with an SD card.
There was an outage very recently, this could be what’s happening
@Customer Hello! Good to see you again!
@loobers Are the cams really truly offline with an error code or do they just show up as offline in the preview/thumbnail screen?
Reason I ask is that the same thing just happened to 10 of my V2 cams connected to eero 6+ mesh systems, but the cams are not really offline.
If you click on the “offline” image, the cams load and work relatively normally. Can even view old SD card footage.
If you physically unplug/plug a cam, it will behave completely normal and be fully online for about 12 hours before going “offline” once again. But this has to be done physically, “Restart Camera” in the iOS/Androids apps does not seem to work any more either.
If you try to reset or manually flash the cam, you will never get a voice prompt out of it ever again, but you can still connect the cam to WiFi by waving the QR code in front of it at the proper time and clicking on the prompts in the app as if you heard the voice prompt.
Just had a long voice chat with Wyze tech support and they were quite helpful and presumably have a team going over my log files right now.
So, full credit to Wyze for getting me to a live human much faster than I expected.
…oddly enough, the equally ancient V2 connected to a Ubiquiti router handled the 1433 firmware update just fine…
Oh my gosh has it been a year? Welcome back @sodcam old pal.
Thanks! I was venting. I constantly swear Wyze out about their DUMB bulbs. The cams sent me over the edge.
Lesson learned. Will put off the updates. Got all up now. The one still showing “offline” is recording. App is buggy too.
I’ve become a Wyze hater when I used to be a fan back with the original v1s.

My Pan Cam 2 went completely dead after the firmware update. Now only the red light stays on and the setup button does nothing at all. It will not go to setup mode or do a factory reset. Wyze is replacing it. Apparently, it’s a known issue. They don’t even want the dead camera back… they said to recycle it!

@kansascitygreek
I am sorry this has happened. I would recommend calling support about this issue.
