So after 589 days of being broken does the NO COOLDOWN function actually work again?

I pulled one of my WCO v2’s in and see that it’s base station is updated to 4.16.4.534.

From the looks of events on that camera, it appears to me that the cooldown has remained at “No Cooldown” and the camera is recording as such (no cooldown)

Happy to see this released, and from what I can tell it appears to be working properly. I’ll continue to test and observe.

I currently own four base stations, and when I went in to perform the update, I was surprised to see all four bases were auto updated.

I don’t know if it was there before, but there is no option to Control Automatic Updates of the Base Station.

I would expect that option to be available for the Base Station as it is on the WCO camera’s themselves.

I have Auto Update turned off for everything. I updated the base yesterday and will test it out later today.
I also received the MAY firmware updates for all my V3 (May 27) and V3 Pro (May 15) cams yesterday. One big basket of terror .

Did/Does your Wyze Cam Outdoor Bases have an option to disable Automatic Firmware Updates?

My four bases do not have that feature available (iPhone 16 Pro Max running Wyze App 3..6.0 (2) beta & iPhone 12 Pro Max running Wyze App 3.4.0 (11) )

Wyze needs to add this feature back in. @WyzeJasonJ can this be added to the base firmware settings?

No my base does not have the option to turn off Auto Update. Mine has never done an Auto update since November 2020, it usually just show an update is available.
I thought the setting was there before. Maybe the 3.xx app made it go away??

If the option is not there to turn off auto updates, then it is one of the products that does not auto update.

I’m confused then. When this update to 4.16.4.534 was rolled out, I don’t recall manually updating the WCO Bases (I was going to apply this update, and it was already (Auto)Updated when I went to do the manual update)

I don’t think I’ve lost my mind just yet, perhaps I have…

If a new update to the base is ever released in the future, will the WCO update firmware windows show an option to apply it manually?

The WCO camera’s themselves, on the firmware page, show up to date, and have the “Automatic Update Off/On” option available at the top of that windows. Why wouldn’t it be the same for the WCO base?
