Firmware Releases - 3/22/2023

I updated one of my 2 cam v3 to the latest firmware 436104054 hoping it would resolve the stuttering video events and I am so disappointed that it doesn’t. It is still stuttering the same as my other v3 cam that is on the previous firmware.

How is it possible to rollback to 4.36.9.139 ? I noticed several annoying bugs in the new version and no improvement at all. Worse than the previous one.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with .4054. Here is info on how to manually flash to a different firmware version.

Hi i just recently updated the firmware on my v3, now it just show solid red even if im not looking at the camera, is this normal now since the new firmware was released. TIA

My v3 cameras have a solid red light when I am viewing that camera or when it is uploading event video. Does your status light never turn solid Blue?

I saw the blue light and turns red and it stays solid red for awhile and goes to blue but mostly solid red. Is it because my motion sensor is sensitive and its recording the event. TIA

If you are not viewing the Live Stream and your light is Red try to note to times that the light is Red. Then go back and check your cloud Event videos and see if the Red light times coincide to the Event video uploads.

Motion. Right after the motion is triggered it still stay solid red is it still recording the event

Probably still recording. If you have Cam Plus I believe Cloud Event Videos can last 5 minutes if the motion lasts that long.

I cannot view/connect via Alexa skill, disabled/reenabled skill, relinked to wyze, I’d like to know there is an issue and being looked at before I roll back the latest update. Acknowledgement of issue would be kind before I have no hair left.

I have been on firmware 4.36.10.4054 for about a month and have not needed to power cycle. I noticed a slight jitter (like 1 frame is dropped) on most cloud Event videos. Nothing as bad as the dropping frames with 4.36.10.3406. I kind of want to not power cycle to test how many months I can go without needing to power cycle. Over all very happy with 4.36.10.4054. Thank you Wyze Team.

BTW, I don’t use Alexa, don’t use Rules, don’t use Detection Zones, so my v3 usage is very basic.

My V3 has also been running fine on the new firmware. One thing I did notice is this morning my V3 stopped recording event videos despite motions, although SD continuous recording was fine. I restarted the Cam from the app and it’s been working fine again since. Not sure what happened there, The Cam is on Cam Plus.

So now I’ve added a rule to restart my Cams once a week, just to be safe.

My floodlight went offline on May 7, starting from 3:52:38pm EDT, because that’s when the continuous SD recording began to appear sped up and no events were logged. I power-cycled it at around 7:50pm and everything went back to normal.
